Giving your time and talent

We welcome volunteers who help residents that need a partner for a specific activity like bridge or chess or to offer a listening ear. Volunteers are part of our community and are invited to attend specific programs and events along with residents and their families and friends.

It is important to Mercy Circle’s mission that everyone feels they have others who care. If the time is right for you to give back, find out how to get started by contacting our volunteer coordinator Linda Johnson at ljohnson@mercycircle.org or 773-253-3613.

If you have ideas how and where Mercy Circle residents can help, we welcome requests for tutoring in languages or other special skills. Our community includes members who have expertise in many areas developed through years of experience. Our residents frequently lend a hand in nearby parishes and schools.

Your monetary gift will last

When you donate to Mercy Circle you are helping care for elderly members of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas—educators, healthcare professionals, social workers—whose vow of poverty did not allow for savings to cover the cost of their care today.

Every donation to Mercy Circle increases our ability to care for the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas who reside here now or in the future. Your gift will continue to help those who need it most.

Mercy Circle is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
