Our employees are lauded by others
In fact, our amazing team of employees, in all areas of care and service, makes us one of the Chicago Tribune’s top workplaces, a recognition earned by Mercy Circle each year since 2020. We also are proud to share that some of our extraordinary nurses have been nominated by their peers, residents and family members to receive DAISY Awards for their compassion and care.
You can expect the same compassionate care from the CNAs, LPNs and nurses at Mercy Circle. You will enjoy excellent food thanks to our kitchen staff, who prepare three meals a day served by friendly and helpful servers. Our housekeepers will tidy your suite and take care of your laundry, and members of the life enrichment staff are committed to brightening your day. All are backed by our administrators, who bring decades of experience to Mercy Circle and dedicate themselves to your well-being and happiness.
Physical rehabilitation for Chicago’s senior citizens
Your physical therapist will guide you through exercises to speed up your recovery from an illness, injury or fall. Mercy Circle’s skilled care rehabilitation program for older adults addresses a wide range of needs.
Our therapists’ expertise and orthopedic treatments will help you improve your mobility and achieve better balance. If you have had a stroke, they will help you restore your daily functionality. And they will create a custom care plan to accelerate your recovery from surgery, as well as teach you how to manage chronic conditions.
With your commitment to a rigorous physical regime, you can increase your independence and reduce chronic pain while accelerating the return to your independent lifestyle following rehabilitation after hospitalization.

Speech therapy for older adults
Speech therapy offers more than the name suggests. You can strengthen your communication skills to find the right words instead of a daily struggle to share your ideas and wishes; as you do so, you may improve your cognitive health, too. Our therapists also are trained to address swallowing disorders to increase your safety and wellness.
Occupational therapy liberates seniors
Occupational therapy helps you rebuild the life skills needed to return to your home. You’ll gain confidence as you learn how to accomplish daily tasks for which you previously leaned on others to assist you.
Your occupational therapist will show you new ways to bathe, to use the toilet, to dress yourself, to clean and cook at home, to get in and out of a car. Taking a fresh approach to accomplishing these and other daily tasks prepares you to live independently again after you complete your skilled care, short-term rehab.
