Our life enrichment team organizes art classes and a variety of board and card games to help you maintain your competitive edge. Mercy Circle’s campus sits adjacent to Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School and Saint Xavier University, and many retired professors, teachers, and administrators now enjoy life in our community.

Every month during the academic year, Mother McAuley students team up with Mercy Circle residents to create a themed gift for more than 70 families and individuals served by Pat’s Pantry in Mt. Greenwood. May-December friendships bloom from these collaborations. The program, “Macs with Mercy,” reflects the intergenerational connections that are common in the surrounding southwest area, while also showing concern for those in need.

Lifelong learners can join the nearby Renaissance Academy on SXU’s campus. The relaxed setting enhances popular peer-facilitated classes such as current events and history, literature and poetry, philosophy and technology.

The 19th Ward hosts a variety of opportunities to spend time with neighbors. In addition to seasonal luncheons, the Ward organizes informative presentations about technology and about safety issues in coordination with the Cook County Sheriff’s Office. The Ward also provides easy access to services offered by the City of Chicago and the Illinois Secretary of State.

Mercy Circle does not charge an entrance fee for independent living in Chicago with spacious apartments and predictable fees. Your monthly fee for a one- or two-bedroom apartment includes several amenities, among them cable television, internet, Wi-Fi, telephone services and utilities.
